We do not require you to create an account. The App does not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly at [email protected].Information collected automatically:
• App preferences: Your selected sport, expertise level, language, theme (dark/light), and sport tab order are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This information never leaves your device.
• Questions and queries: When you use the “Ask anything” feature or request a play explanation, your query is sent to our AI processing providers to generate a response. Queries are processed to generate your response and are not stored by us or associated with your identity.
• Sports data: The App fetches live sports scores and play data from third-party sports data providers. We do not store this data beyond what is needed to display it in the App.
• Subscription information: If you purchase a subscription, purchase and subscription-status information is processed through Apple and our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat) to deliver and validate your subscription. Payment is handled by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment-card details.Information we do not collect:

• Provide real-time sports explanations and educational content

• Improve the App based on aggregated, anonymous usage patternsArtificial Intelligence Processing
The App uses artificial intelligence services to generate explanations and respond to your questions. When you request an explanation or submit a question, the relevant text is sent to our AI processing providers (described below) to generate a response. These providers process your input to return a result. We use paid AI processing tiers that do not use your inputs to train their models. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.Third-Party ServicesThe App uses the following third-party services:
• ESPN API — fetches live sports data.
• Highlightly — provides additional live sports data and match events for certain sports.
• Groq — processes AI explanation and question requests. Your query text is sent to Groq’s servers to generate a response.
• Google (Gemini) — processes AI explanation and question requests as a fallback provider when needed. Your query text may be sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate a response. We use a paid tier that does not use inputs for model training.
• RevenueCat — manages and validates in-app subscriptions and processes related purchase and device information.
• Expo / EAS — app delivery and update infrastructure.
• Vercel — hosts our backend API.Data RetentionYour preferences are stored locally on your device and can be cleared at any time by deleting the App. We do not retain your queries or personal information on our servers. Subscription-status information is retained as needed to provide and validate your subscription through Apple and RevenueCat.Children's PrivacyThe App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App offers a “Rookie” difficulty level intended to provide simpler explanations for anyone new to a sport, regardless of age; it is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete it.Changes to This PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this policy.
